go with leo he seems like he has the right advise. flash the bios, and possible the cpu doesn't have the same mhz or ghz as the one you previous had. check, make sure the cpu have the same mhs or ghz and flash the bios.Problems with a replaced cpu my pc is really slow even tho cpu was like for like replacement. any advice?
have you flashed the bios to the new processor even tho it might be the same processor it might not be the same speed or mhz as the last one if not you will have to flash the bios.check manf website for your motherboards biosflash software
Sounds like you need to re-seat the CPU heat sink, heat makes things slower, I would try this before jumping to conclusions
Hi,

I can't think why the cpu change should make any difference to the startup times?

Try going to the start menu and type in msconfig.

In there you can use the startup tab to see what is being loaded and disable / enable the startup process.

Once you have made any changes just reboot.
