It is 100% polyester but feels so soft. It is navy blue in colour. It comes out of the washing machine always covered with white marks, slightly raised, caused by the laundry detergent.
I have tried: washing it a second time in cold water with an appropriate soap; washing it a second time alone with hot water with regular detergent; washing it a second time in either hot or cold with no soap. Could it be marked like that because I put too much detergent in, or even too large a load?I am having a problem washing clean a blanket %26amp; need advice.?
Try washing it once in Woolite. Nothing else with it.I am having a problem washing clean a blanket %26amp; need advice.?
wash it in luke warm water not hot but dont put any thing in the water just let it go through the wash and rinse cycle with nothing added no detergent at all, you fill find it will come out. the water has to be warm though
It could be too large a load for your washer. Take it to the laundry mat and use a big washer. It the future try letting the washer run a few minutes, and dissolve the detergent in the water before adding the laundry, or use liquid.
It is clean enough...allow the blanket to sit in the wash water overnight (using cold water, start wash cycle as usual...keep lid open overnight). In the morning lower the lid. Hopefully the marks will be gone.
you might be using too much detergent with the laundry. if all else fails then you might try handwashing it.
