First of all, it's important to understand that whatever is troubling you is not going to get worst, and if it gets, so what, so what, live with it, and challenge your self to live with it. Second, think positively, if there is a solution you dont need to worry about it, if there is no solution then worrying about it will not help at all. Third, there is always a solution for everything, even for cancer, dont worry and learn how to live with it.

It's a good step that you asked here in this forum becuase there are many people that will talk to you honestly and from flesh experiences. You need to find a friend, a teacher, an older person, a pastor or whoever you think will listen and will just say something that will triger your mind to wake up and to realize.

Some native american remedies.

Drink, camomille tea with honey(not to much honey), in the morning and try to concentrate just on sipping the tea and down to your throat to your belly. Telling your self that everything is going to be calm and relaxed. Repeat, may I be fulfill with happyness and health. Drink camomille or cinammon tea everyday with not much sugar.

Second, go on to your elders, groups, friends, new media technoligies(forums, websites, movies, magazines), church and listen to them and try to pick only the positive energies, I mean the positive things that will contribute to your well beign. Maybe is something that some wise men said, or a movie that motivate you, or a line from a magazine, a poem, or a converstaion that you found in your friend. Watch, based on a true story movies, it will remind you that the power of will in humans is beyond imagination maybe is your turn to write your own book, movie, story or example for others. This might some too cliche but if you really, really, really, analyse it, it makes sense. You are a creation, a beauty, a unique human, you are beautiful, you are alive and you are in the now, the now, the now, go and make more now.

Careful, looking too much in the internet about your symptoms may lead you to worry a lot more, remember, you are not an expert in neuropsychology and finding information about your current status will not make it worst.

In native american tradition, worrying too about your concious self is a sign of change and connection with those around you. Probably you need to change things in your life, I mean really change things or people around you. Radically and positively.

I'm sorry if this took a little longer, this is a humble native american perspective on your case, I been in your situation before and I'm more than glad to help.PLease Give Me Advice On My Mental Problem?
Perhaps you should be checked for hypothyroidism. This can cause the symptoms you describe, and is easily treatable.
you need the advice of a psychiatrist.
Getting distracted at school in no way means you have ADHD school is a prison that for a small part of you life you will have to face.

You a forced to be at school which putting many people off wanting to learn and do well at school.

I bet all day at school your thinking about what your going to do on your lunch break or when you get home etc.

I know I was

So don't worry you are perfectly normal I flunked out of school then went to Tech and Graduated with honors

Why did I do so well. I see it was because I was there for myself not for my parents teachers or the Government so I could get a good job.

So if you want to do well you have to do well for yourself and nobody else.

Because you see a benefit in what you are learning not to make people happy.
No Amiga you are not experiencing any ADHD, it's all in your Grey material, you just need to have the Will and everything will go back to normal, and you might be needing some time as well to figure it all out
well nothing is immpossible and being a teacher I believe even the toughest battle is won due to will power %26amp; not due to strength and resources.

1st make a list of things which u would like to do when u would be about 20 yr old.

2nd make a list of things u like to do now.

3rd make a comperison of the list and then compare what all actions or things u do now will help u latter to acheive ur goal.

4th figure out your goals in terms of concreate things u need to achive in ur 1st list

Now, make an action plan which will help u acheive ur goals.

as far as concentration is concerned I would advise u to do yoga exercises called ';pranayams'; before going to school and studing.

if u have problems ubderstanding things then u will have to make an effort. u seem altogether bored or just dislike then use target-reward method. make a target say one chapter or exercise and set a reward for yourself. reward should be small but feassible like if u do 1 exercise then u can reward urself my having a icecream or watching cartoons etc..

once u get started there will no stooping so now get hooked.
It's only the first day back! Ease up on yourself a little. If this is had been a long time problem, see the school counsellor. You can't expect to get the healthiest mental advice on here, lol.
If you can't concentrate, don't try beyond one's ability. Sport is best for you.And I think basketball is interesting.A good healthy can help you have a sound mind.Good luck!
there is a posibiloty that you do .

or you could just be one of thoes ppl that cant focus for long periods .

If your abel to concentrate at home when your studieing then your just one of thoese ppl that are always in a daze thinking a bout other things and staring into mid air other words easily boerd. I AM ONE OF THEM.

but if this problem is depressing you then go see a therapist theres nothing wrong about it.
cantact your school counsler or tell your parents and your teacher, you can get help You are normal and there is help if you ask for it.
Go and see your doctor since this has been trouling you for years. We can't diagnose things like this on this site. Good luck, it's worth sorting your problem out.
Naw, there ain't nothing wrong with you...you just don't want to be there yet...when you can really tell yourself how important it is, and that you really do like it, you won't have any problems any more...that is how I get when I really don't want to be somewhere like that and so I just have a tendency to zone out and go somewhere else...give it a few days, and you will adjust as far as I can see...
Depression can easily cause problems with paying attention without it necessarily involving ';ADHD';. You admit you are depressed, and I think what you should do is the following:

1) Talk to your parents if you feel comfortable doing this in your case. I know not everyone has caring and understanding moms and dads when it comes to things like this, but hopefully you do.

2) Get an appointment with your family doctor.

3) Ask your doctor about a referral to a psychiatrist because of your depression and problems paying attention.

4) When you see your psychiatrist, he'll make a formal evaluation and depending on your situation may either prescribe an anti-depressant, set-up counseling for you, or perhaps both, depending on what you're comfortable with.
Are you getting enough sleep at night? Are you worried about things? Are your worries keeping you awake? You need to talk to your parents or your school counselor. I will pray for you.

Signs of School Stress

When you worry about school, it can affect your body. A kid who feels stressed about school might have headaches or stomachaches. You might feel ';butterflies'; or like you have to throw up.

Having trouble sleeping is also a sign of stress. And if you're not getting enough sleep, you probably feel grouchy and tired during the day. Feeling tired can make your school day seem even worse.

If you're stressed out, you might have a hard time making decisions. In the morning, you can't decide what to eat, what to wear, or what to pack for lunch. You don't want to go to school, so you put off getting your stuff together. And now you're not prepared to go to school, and you've just missed the bus - again! Staying home may seem like a good choice, but it just makes it harder to go to school the next day.

Finding Help

It's a good idea to talk to someone about your problems with school. Your mom, dad, relative, teacher, or school counselor will be able to help you. It's especially important to tell an adult if the problem is that you're being bullied or someone hurts you physically.

Another good idea is to write down your feelings about school in a journal. You can use a journal or diary or just write in an ordinary notebook. It's a great way to let out emotions that may be stuck inside you. And you don't have to share what you've written with others.

If you feel disorganized or like you can't keep up with your schoolwork, your teachers and school counselors want to help. Teachers want and expect you to ask for help learning stuff. If all of your subjects seem really hard, a school counselor can help you sort things out. Special help is available if you need it. Try not to let the problems go on too long. It's easier to catch up on one chapter than the whole book!

Feeling Better About School

The next time you find yourself disliking school, try this:

First, write down everything you don't like about school.

Then make a list of the good things you enjoy (even if it's only recess and lunch, that's a start!).

Now, what can you change on the ';don't like'; list? Would remembering to do your homework help you feel more confident if you're called on in class? Could you find a way to show off your special interests and talents? If you made just one new friend, would you feel less alone? If you helped someone else feel less alone, would you feel even better? Which activities could you try that would help you meet new friends?

Of course, you may not be able to change everything on your ';don't like'; list. A bully may not simply disappear. Reading may always be a challenge. But that's OK. Focus on what you can change and you might be able to put the cool back in school!
