Why is it when a problem is serious, people often do not follow the advice given?

A human being is very stubborn holding on to his own opinion only experience will make them change their mind.

Experience is the wisdom of fools.Why is it when a problem is serious, people often do not follow the advice given?
They weren't really looking for advice. They wanted someone to tell them that whatever is happening to them is okay and that it will work itself out all by itself. They're lazy dreamers.





If the problem is romantic, they are probably depressed and need medical help.





There are others who feel that they will hurt someone else if they help themselves and they would rather self-destruct than have that happen.Why is it when a problem is serious, people often do not follow the advice given?
When isn't a problem serious?





I have yet to find a problem humorous or comical.





The reason many people ignore advise is because they doubt that a problem is a problem at all.
When a problem is serious and people get advice they usually feel like they are independent and they will take care of it. They want to take care of it instead of someone else for them
they might see that they have a problem but are following their own pattern based on their experiences in live repeating the same mistakes over and over again


this will only change if they are willing to really sit back and take a good look at themselves in stead of going on automatic pilot
Becuase the foolishly think that following their heart is the solution, only to find themselves flat on their face later. People are stubborn, they are not humble enough to take advice. take your pick.
They usually lack the willpower to do so. They want advice, but they don't want to go out and take proper action.
Personal experience is based on what each and everyone of has BASED on in our life and it's reactions and interactions.
because of the tense their half attention is on the problem and half is their choice so the others advice are left nowhere
b/c they like 2 be ';independent'; i guess?

2009 - the NEW YEAR!
The ';mountain'; seems too high to climb no matter what kind of climbing gear is at hand.
';cause opinions are like butt-holes, everybody has one and most of them stink.
because advices are never fun to follow... :(
people who ask advice don't want advice, they just want you to listen and emote with them
...they've gone pass the point of sensibility and no return...
they stress and they dont want to trust anyone,.
