I have had diareah now for 6 weeks and i have been to the doctor and they are currently doing tests. anyway the doctor has got me on tablets to control it until they find out the test results, but they aren't doing much good.
I was just wondering if anyone knows of anything i can do to stop the chafing on my bum when i go the loo, as the skin around that area is getting really quite painful and red.
Thanks.Hi everyone, embarrassing problem and need a bit of advice?
Buy a nappy rash cream - it will really help. Its what its designed for, and I often recommend it for this purpose.
Try bepanthen or drapolene - both are very good.
Wies are ok, but the creams are really soothing, much better than a wipe.

You could try baby wipes not toilet paper, or some toilet paper with aloe vera in it.
Failing that you could get someone to apply some sort of skin healing cream to the affected area like E45, Sudocreme or something similar for rashes/minor skin irritations and nappy rash.
Balmex or Desitin--what they use for infants to avoid diaper rash. The cream puts a barrier on the sore skin.
Hope you feel better soon.
Avoid dairy--as it often makes diarrhea worse.
Try vaseline =]
cut down on the fibre and bran
